In The Heights, LXD &+ Galen Hooks

My weekend has been pretty great. Saturday I went to see In the Heights in Philly and then had dinner at Applebee's. The play was AMAZING! I want a copy of the soundtrack ASAP, and the choreographer, Andy Blankenbuehler, did a really good job with the dancers. There's this part where they slow down their walks, similar to what I did in [suburbia.], that was very strong and, emotion-setting for the scene. LB and I noticed it immediately. Here's a little bit of him here:

In between breaks studying after we got back on campus (and this morning, too), I finally broke down and decided to watch LXD: The Legion of Extraordinary Dancers. It's actually a pretty good show. It's a web-series, accurately described as the "Justice League of dance." My favorite episode so far is "Duet", which features a piece choreographed by Galen Hooks. I really like her piece, and she also dances with and choreographed for Ne-Yo (she's in "Beautiful Monster", "Champagne Life", and "One in a Million). Check in out on Hulu. Here's "One in a Million" for your viewing pleasure. Enjoy!
