So I've been here a total of 2 weeks and 4 days, and in that short amount of time, I've done/learned a lot. So much so that I have NO idea what I want to start with. Ha.
Let's start with the weather. I expected it to be HOT. But it's not. I left like 105 degree weather in New Orleans expecting similar weather here, but the nights are like 60+ degrees. Chilly. So glad David told me to bring a sweatshirt. Days have been really windy too. It's stopped raining a bit (we're in the wet season) and that means DUST DUST and more DUST.
Other than the weather, I've made some really cool friends. I was here less than 24 hours before I met someone who knew most if not all of my friends who are either from Ghana or have been to Ghana. Most of my friends so far (at least that I talk to on a regular basis) are Nigerian =P.
I'm staying in the International Students' Hostel (known as ISH). I'm in a double with A, one of the students in my program from Bryn Mawr.
Ok, I'm taking explaining these two weeks in portions, so that's all I feel like typing for now.
