Plus, I work at a school (which means blogs are disabled), so I haven't been able to type when I want to (during downtime from chasing these kids).
Long story short, I like my job. I've been helping with the integrated reading curriculum during the mornings, and then I teach dance to each class for an hour a week.On Wednesdays they go swimming, and Fridays they go on field trips.
There are a few issues with the way things run, but overall I like my job.
When I get home, I SLEEP. And then depending on what day it is, I'm probably back out of the door. The Urban League here has a Women's Business Resource Center, which holds monthly business seminars. I've been going to them every Monday and Thursday this month for about 3 hours. I'm learning a lot, but I'm also learning that I can't do this all on my own. As a student (who has no credit or collateral to leverage for a loan). I need to start building some kind of financial profile. AND I need a team in my corner to help get some of this planning stuff out of the way.
So I'm in search of fellow classmates and interns to help me with some day-to-day research and planning stuff. It's pretty basic stuff, but it's a LOT for me to do before I leave for Ghana. If you don't already know me, or would like to know more about my program, or would like to help, shoot me an email at jalisaroberts@gmail.com.
