internship woes.

My experience at Freedom Schools here in New Orleans has been a trying time. I'm really upset that the experience I've had hasn't been good, because I know that is not usually the case (as evidenced by how well the sites run in other places, and by the conversations I'[ve had with site coordinators and interns who've worked with CDF Freedom Schools before). That being said, I'm learning valuable lessons in management, the types of attitudes and organization I want in my program and the people that volunteer/work in the program, and how we will interact with parents.

My job as a floater with Freedom Schools may be changing sometime soon, so I'll wait until then to talk more about my experiences. My business seminnars have been going amazing ( last 2 seminars of this week have focused on management and marketing), and I have a contact that I can consult for more non-profit focused info. I also have my first intern/assiatant/angel in disguise. I'll have to figure out which title she'd prefer, lol.

Next week is my last week at my original Freedom School site, and I'll probably figure out more about what I'll be doing after next week also.

Dancewise: My kindred spirit is an artist, and I'll probably be working on choreography for a song his little sisters made a few weeks ago. I'm also going to try my best this week to get all of my works on video (either through my YouTube or by creating a Vimeo).
